Shehu Sanni, a 27-year-old commercial motorcyclist, popularly called 'Okadaman', will remain in the confines of the Ikoyi Prison, Lagos, till September 29, when his murder case will be heard after he allegedly stabbed a vigilante officer to death with a scissors during a brawl.

Sanni, who resides at No. 22, Abeokuta Street, Oko Baba, Ebute Meta, was arraigned before Magistrate B.O. Ope-Agbe of the Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates' Court, on a murder charge after he reportedly stabbed the deceased, Ibukun Oguntona, for daring to challenge him for riding his motorcycle at night.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Maria Dauda, told the court that the offence was committed on July 8 at Tappa-Abeokuta Street, Ebute Meta after the accused was questioned by Oguntana.

"An argument ensued between the duo and Sanni, who had a pair of scissors in his pocket, brought it out and stabbed the deceased on his chest and stomach."

Dauda noted that the offence contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
