Group trains 187 youths on beads making, others

Bashayi said the participants were trained on beads making, satellite dish installation, solar panel installation and piggery.

Convener of the group, Mr Emmanuel Bashayi, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos on Sunday.

Other areas of the training are chalk production, fashion design, photography and catering.

He said mentorship would be available for participants to enable them make the best use of the skills acquired.

“The training was primarily designed to develop capacity among the youths in Mada land and Nasarawa state in general.

“Beyond the training, we have put in place a mentorship programme for the participants to ensure that the knowledge gained is put to productive use, ‘’ he said.

Bashayi said a start up cash of N100,000 and one year free mentorship would be given to any participant that came up with a successful business plan.
