Meanwhile, reactions have trailed the news of the sudden death of Goldie as former Performing Musicians Association of Nigerian (PMAN) president, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy described Goldie's death as shocking. Charly Boy who acknowledged Goldie as a young musician with a bright future described her death as a loss to the entertainment industry.

Prezzo, Goldie's former fellow Big Brother Africa Stargame contestant and love interest is reportedly on his way to Lagos following the news of Goldie's death. The duo met while they were contestants at the Big Brother Africa Stargame in 2012 and were engaged in a controversial relationship for the duration of the show and afterwards.
Also, the Copyrights Society of Nigeria (COSON) have also expressed sadness over the death of the late pop diva. Chairman, Tony Okoroji said he was very sad to hear the “news of the sudden passing on of a young Nigerian woman working so hard to make a mark in a very difficult field.’’ He described her performances as exceptional adding that he had hoped she would be a force to reckon with in the music industry.
Goldie passed away yesterday, February 14th at Reddington hospital shortly after her return from the United States where she had gone for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The details of the exact cause of her death remain unknown.
