Evangelist arrested for brutalizing own children with cable in Jos (Video)

A supposed man of God has been arrested by the police in Jos, Plateau State for using cables, wires, and sticks to beat his young children.

Evangelist Christopher Sule is in big trouble

Channels TV reports that Sule was arrested by the social welfare office of the Jos South Local Government Area of the state following reports by neighbours, before being handed over to the police.

According to the Social Welfare Officer in the LGA, Garba Mancha, the office took the action of arresting Evangelist Sule after it was discovered that the father had persistently used cables to beat the two children who are aged eight and six, respectively.

“We found the children with deep wounds on their bodies; the situation was just horrible. We discovered that he had been torturing the children for three years.

The shocking aspect is that even their mother did not report to anyone. When we got the reports, the welfare office summoned Sule and called in the police to take over the matter," Mancha said.

During interrogation, Mancha continued, Sule attributed his actions to the poor academic performance of the children as well as other offences which included stealing, stubbornness and returning late when sent on errands.

“The father, in his statement, confessed to using cables and antenna wires, as well as sticks, to beat the children,” Mancha added.

Mancha said that the mother also attributed the beatings to their poor performance in school as well as stubbornness.
