70-yr-old man arrested for raping 4-yr-old girl

A 70-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 4-year-old girl.

Rape is a very serious crime

One often wonders what enjoyment a grown man would find in the body of a minor as a 70-year-old man, Omena Nzogbu, from Okwuanyi Onu village, in the Umuezeokaoha Autonomous community in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was caught in the very act of defiling a four-year-old girl.

The naughty old man was by one Robinson Nwokwu, who said Nzogbu molested the girl at a farm. Nwokwu said Nzogbu was working on his farm when he saw the girl who had gone to a nearby farm with her parents, and asked her to fetch water for him at a near-by stream.

Nwokwu narrated further:

“While the girl was fetching the water, Nzogbu went to meet her and started defiling her. The cry of the girl attracted me and some other people who were farming in the area to the scene.

By the time we got get there, blood was already gushing out from the girl’s private part. So people kept coming there to see things for themselves.

The man would have been lynched by an angry mob but for some people who rushed to report the matter to the police.

The police rescued the man and then directed us to take the girl to the hospital for medical examination.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the incident and said the suspect would be charged to court after investigation.
