Man in prison for allegedly defiling 2-yr-old daughter
A 43-year-old man has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly defiling his two-year-old daughter.
Abu who was arraigned for the indecent treatment of a child, according to the police prosecutor, Sergeant Rachael Donny, had reportedly inserted his finger on his daughter’s private part on July 29 at his residence.
“The accused always inserted one of his fingers into his baby’s private part, ignoring her cries.
The mother of the child noticed that the baby always complained that she felt pains on her private part. Before then, the accused directed his wife to be sleeping in their parlour, telling her he wanted to be sharing their bedroom with only the child.
On the day of the incident, the baby cried in the middle of the night and the mother rushed to the room, only to catch her husband naked with their daughter, with his manhood erect while he was dipping his finger in her vagina,” Donny had told the court presided by Magistrate T. A. Elias.
When the charge was read to Abu, he pleaded guilty and Magistrate Elias, ordered that he be remanded in custody, while adjourning the case till October 19, 2016, for a presentation of the facts of the case and sentencing.
The offense contravenes Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011 and carries and the section provides for seven years imprisonment on conviction.
