Nigerian man beats up Indian vendor in Dubai
A Nigerian man allegedly beat up an Indian man in a shop in Dubai after they had disagreements over the price of a pair of sunglass.
According to Emirates247, the Nigerian who had wanted to purchase a pair of sunglass got into an argument with the Indian vendor over the price. The vendor wanted Dh45, but the Nigerian wanted to buy them for Dh10.
A fight ensued from the argument and the Nigerian reportedly beat up his Indian counterpart.
Dubai Public Prosecution identified the 32-year-old Nigerian as AP and the Indian victim as MTK.
According to a medical report that was made available in court, MTK suffered a fracture on his left jaw from the beating.
Speaking before a Dubai Criminal Court, the Indian said the Nigerian man had told him; "I am a strong African. I can beat you."
