As Poe Drops New Video For Koyewon

There’s a new generation of rap maestros coming through in Nigerian music, and Poe is the brightest of them all.

The young rap sensation continues to be a marvel in all his releases, dropping lines that can only be dreamed about, infusing new elements and word-craft, and generally taking rap deep into various zones. These can all be seen in his song, ‘KoYe Won’, which just had its video released.

An overwhelming buzz surrounds Poe following a string of online releases, namely, The New Era, Talk UR Mind (with Lynxxx), and Don’t Give Me Sh*t (with Jesse Jagz & Kahli Abdu). Finally, here is ‘Ko Ye Won’, the hard-hitting first single off his intro mixtape; Talk About Poe #TAP.

With TAP season gaining momentum, Poe invites listeners to look on as he takes his own brand of rap to the streets of Lagos. Ko Ye Won’s locations may be familiar to some, but the vivid simplicity of the video is something new and refreshing in an industry where extravagance is king.
