Calabar campus: A smashing conclusion to an unforgettable tour (Day 2 & 3)

This was not just the conclusion of a campus audition but the conclusion of the tour that had crisscrossed vibrant campuses in the country. The talent on display gave stellar performances and there was also a lot of fanfare. The hall was filled with supporters; friends who came to see their friends contest and win.

The winners emerged on Day 3. From the modeling category, Kingsley Egbe popularly known as Kore, a top model who came all the way from Lagos to Calabar to participate in the auditions won alongside Elaigwu Daniel.

In the performing Artiste category, there were also two winners, Femi David and Sebastian ChichebemUkwa. Femi was a participant last year. Though he did not win last year, he returned this year, better and stronger and wowed the crowd with a superb performance.

In the Masters of Style contest sponsored by Imperial Leather and Canoe, Paramole OmotayoSaheed and Ita Majed Okon emerged winners in this category. Omotayo was another example of tenacity; he had earlier participated in the Lagos campus auditions but wasn’t selected, so he came down to Calabar to compete again.

On the second and third days, there was still more enriching, free training. There was a MasterClass on financial literacy with the Nigerian Stock Exchange by Olumide Orojimi, the Head of Corporate Communication; and another on entrepreneurship by FCMB delivered by Michael Nwoseh.

There were also loads of freebies. Imperial leather performed manicure and pedicure done for everyone who bought their products and FCMB gave out cash prizes to 5 random persons who opened an FCMB account.

As if this was not enough, the alumni of previous seasons decided to regale their alma mater with a memorable performance.

Promise Agbor, winner Season 4 Performing Artiste Category; Ini Iniama, Season 4 Modeling Category; and Samuel Ekanem Dance trainer in the Calabar auditions added colour to the event.

The campus tours have been full of fun, adventure, learning and entertainment but Season 5 is far from over. The bootcamp promises to be packed full of more! Stay tuned as the journey for the Dreamers 2018 continues.
