Lightning kills 3 sisters, 1 other in Kwara

Three female siblings and another child were struck dead by lightning on Children's Day at Gure town, Baruten LGA of Kwara State.

Student Pulse gathered from a Vanguard report that the lightning struck between 12 midnight of Tuesday and 1am on Wednesday during heavy rainfall.

Three of the girls are children of the same parents while the fourth victim was a visitor.

It was reported that the lightning broke down the wall of the house and many houses had their roofs torn off in the stormy downpour.

The deceased have been buried according to Islamic rights.
