The Bishop of Reina Chapel Church, Lokoja, Kogi State, John Ibenu, had a horrible story to tell after gunmen forced their way into his home on Saturday night.

According to Leadership news, gunmen numbering seven positioned themselves outside the building while two entered the room through the roof of the building.

Several items, handsets, ATM cards and other valuables were allegedly carted away from the house.

Sources revealed to newsmen that the security guards in the house were tied down at the gate before the two armed men started their operation which lasted for hours.

According to a source, the attackers couldn’t have been different from armed robbers who had been chased from the expressway, while other sources said they could be traced to people who are close to the Bishop.

As at the time of this report, no human casualty was recorded but two people were said to have been wounded in the house of the Bishop,   a lady and boy, and they are said to be recuperating in an undisclosed hospital outside the city centre.
