Michael Adebolajo who is facing a life or death sentence for the murder of a soldier in London last year has renounced the extreme Islamism that allegedly radicalised him.

Michael was arrested alongside another Nigerian Michael Adebowale, after attacking and killing a British Army soldier, Lee Rigby of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

The 29-year-old Michael Adebolajo was pictured with Lee Rigby's blood on
his hands as he ranted to a camera following the
brutal broad day light murder outside Woolwich barracks in London.

Brandishing the weapon he used for the murder ,Adebolajo issued a series of rants threatening the west. Both killers told passers-by that they had killed the soldier to avenge the killing of Muslims by the British armed forces.

Michael Adebolajo went on to describe killing Fusilier Rigby as a "military operation" and
claimed during his trial that he was a soldier fighting for his
 religious beliefs.

Investigations after his arrest revealed that he had been in touch with Islamic extremists months in advance of the brutal murder.

Now Adebolajo according to UK’s Daily Mail  is planning to denounce his faith in the radical religion at his next hearing. It was also reported that Adebolajo’s sudden plan to renounce violence is being seen as a
cynical ploy to escape la lifer sentence and get out of prison before he dies.

"He is prepared to say he is not a 'Soldier of Allah' any more. It
remains to be seen if the judges believe that. It is as if it has suddenly hit home with him what a whole life term
really means. He now understands that he will never get out of prison, and he is going to be behind bars for the rest of his life,” a source close to the case told Daily Mail.
