Over the weekend, the Catholic leader had a lot to say about important issues that affect humanity, such as abortion, childbirth, corruption and so on.

Here is a list of all the important things he has said lately.

1. On the gift of life, he says, "life must always be welcomed and protected, from conception to natural death. All of us are called to respect life and care for it."

2. On Christianity, he says, "let us not have taken from us the joy of being disciples of the Lord."

3. On religious killings, he says, "the Christians who are suffering imprisonment, death or torture because they refuse to reject Christ, highlight the cruelty of this persecution. And this cruelty which calls for apostasy is satanic! How I would like it if all religious denominations said: killing in the name of God is satanic! "

4. On forgiveness, he says, "there is no sin in which we may have fallen, from which, with the grace of God, we cannot rise up again. There is never a person who can’t be recovered; no one is unrecoverable because God never stops wanting our good, even when we sin! … Let me ask you a question: Have you ever thought about how each time we go to the confessional, there is joy and celebration in heaven? Have you ever thought of this? It’s beautiful!"

5. On salvation, he says, "God always awaits our returning to the journey, he awaits us with patience, he sees us when we are still a long way off, he runs to meet us, he embraces us, he kisses us, he forgives us. That is how God is! That is how our Father is! ... When we sinners convert and bring ourselves to be re-encountered by God, reproaches and sternness do not await us, because God saves, he welcomes us home again with joy and makes a celebration."

6. On peace, he says, " peace is a gift, a “handcrafted gift” that we must work for every day; but doing so in the small things, the little things in everyday life. You can speak of peace with splendid words, putting together a great conference… But if in your little things, in your heart, there is no peace, in your family there is no peace, in your neighborhood there is no peace, in your place of work there is no peace, there will not be peace in the world."

7. On corruption, he says, "some behave with corruption as with drugs: thinking they can use it and stop using it when they want. It begins slowly: a tip from here, a bribe from there."

8. On life, he says, "the journey of life necessarily involves a choice between two roads: between honesty and dishonesty, between fidelity and infidelity, between selfishness and altruism, between good and evil. You can not oscillate between one and the other because they move on different and conflicting logics."

9. On trendy priests, he says, "the world is tired of lying spellbinders and, allow me to say, 'trendy' priests or bishops. The people sniff them out – they have God's sense of smell – and they walk away when they recognize narcissists, manipulators, defenders of their own causes, auctioneers of vain crusades."

10. "On resurrection, he says, "a spiritualistic piety, a nuanced piety is much easier; but to enter into the logic of the flesh of Christ, this is difficult. And this is the logic of the day after tomorrow. We will resurrect like the risen Christ, with our own flesh."
