‘Spiritual husbands or wives are not real’ — Christ Embassy G.O says

The popular cleric contradicts the belief of many Pentecostal pastors by insisting that spiritual spouses do not exist.

The General Overseer of The Believers Love World, better known asChrist Embassy, made this claim in a newly released Youtube video.

In the clip above, posted on Mar 22, 2018, the Man of God revealed that spiritual husbands or wives do not exist, adding that people have the wrong idea about spiritual spouses.

Pastor Oyakhilome explains: “Experiences with demonic personalities. The truth is there is no such thing as a spiritual husband or wife but demon spirits who oppress or manipulate individuals who are ignorant or who have grown up under demonic inferences.

“So these demons continue to oppress them, lie to them and manipulate their minds. It’s not an illusion, it’s a real experience. But every Christian, whoever finds himself in such situation must learn to cast out devils, you reject their authority over you because Jesus Christ is the lord of your life and these demons have no power over you.”

This is not the first time the Man of God has said something controversial about marriage. In 2016, he caused a stir when he claimed that wives are not equal to their husbands.

On the Christ Embassy.Org Online Missions Facebook page, Pastor Oyakhilome encouraged wives  to respect and be submissive towards their husbands because they are not equal.

Here is an excerpt from the message titled: "Who is a HUSBAND and what is His Role?"

It read: "Husband does not mean the male partner in a marriage, husband means master.

The reason for most problems in Christian marriages is the fact that women refute God’s definition of marriage and form theirs. They believe they are equal partners.

If most women had their fathers bold enough to talk to them, they will be very successful in their marriage and they will be very happy people. Most women have never been taught by their parents, their fathers particularly and that’s their biggest problem because they don’t know who a man is, they think he is another woman."

In marriage, you have the man who is the head of that union and because he’s the head of that union, its important to understand him. You think he’s the one that needs to understand his wife and that is where you are wrong. He will eventually but you have to know the type of man you are married to and his needs.

When you say you are marrying a man, you are coming under his authority. The Bible says, the man is the head of the woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) so when you marry him you come under his authority, you are not authority sharers even though you are both heirs to the kingdom of God..."

Majority of Pulsereaders (85.5%) agreed with his position on the role of wives in Christian marriages.
