Singer finds amazing husband after 7-month fast!

Fantasia Barrino has revealed details of her love story with her husband, Kendall Taylor.

In an interview with AOL, she said she met her husband, who is also a Christian, after a seven-month fast!

"I did a seven-month fast. For me that was long. I went without drinking, partying, talking to any guys. That was a bit much for me.

I needed something different. I began to let go of the bad relationships, the hurt. I had to let it all go. As soon as I got off the fast, I met my husband.

It took a lot of time. Thank God for my husband too,. I knew that whatever man came into my life would build me up", she added.

In a previous interview, done over two months ago, she explained the reason for the fast, and why it was necessary.

“I went on a fast and I decided I was going to be in a relationship with myself and learn how to love myself again…plus learn how to let go the other relationships.

You can’t go into something good, until you let go of all the bad stuff…because you’re find yourself bringing up all the old in the new situation…so I fasted for seven months.

I watched a lot of things that were good for my soul, alot of TD Jakes, I would use post it notes and speak things into my life…So I asked God for certain things…When I met my husband, he was fasting at the same time", she revealed.

The 32-year-old singer's husband, Taylor, is currently a mentor with the MOVE program.

His biography on the program website, details his previous life, his decision to move on and serve God.

"He was arrested and incarcerated in a facility hundreds of miles from home and it was in that place, at that time, that he began to clearly hear and respond to the call of God on his life. He laid down the failures of his past and began to carry his cross for the sake of Christ.

Today, Kendall is determined to win souls who are lost or who lack direction. ... He has set his sights on the work of the Lord and prepares himself daily as he battles for the men who want to be what God has destined for them to be."

Fantasia and her husband got married in 2015.
