US stars, Krept N Konan, WSTRN perform at The Beat FM Christmas Concert in Nigeria

Migos, are the American hip-hop group that is composed of three family members known by their personal names:  Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset.

 

The 2015 BET Awards Best Group nominee, Migos, UK rap group, Krept & Konan, and London underground hit stars, WSTRN stormed Nigeria last night at the BEAT FM 2016 Christmas concert.

The event which took place on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, attracted a really young crowd and school kids who are music lovers and Trap-music enthusiasts.

Migos, are the American hip-hop group that is composed of three family members known by their personal names:  Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset. Their breakthrough single ‘Versace’ in 2013, from the mixtape Y.R.N (Young Rich Niggas),caught the attention of Drake who went on to remix it. The group released their debut studio album Yung Rich Nation in 2015.

This was their first appearance in Nigeria, and they performed some of their hit songs like, ‘Dab’, ‘Pick Up The Phone’ and ‘Bad and Boujee’.

The group later brought on Nigerian superstar Davido to join them on stage for a joint performance that wowed the crowd.

WSTRN the West London based group made up of Akelle Charles, Haile and Louis Rei, also gave a worthy performance. Their debut single ‘In2’ was released in October, 2015 and it peaked at number 4 on the UK Single List. The song was performed on the night, to the screaming fans predominantly made up of young people.

Krept and Konan, the two South London rappers also performed. Their real names are Casyo Johnson (Krept) and Karl Wilson (Konan), known for making an impact on the UK underground scene with their music, punch lines and metaphors, performed some of their biggest hits, including 2015 smash song, ‘Freak for the Week’.

The celebrated international acts were joined by a number of Nigeria’s artists including Falz, Ycee, Niniola, Dammy Krane, L.A.X, Aramide, Lola Rae, Uzi, Mayorkun and Terry Apala.

The concert will be a memorable way to commence the Christmas celebration as these top artistes are set to delight music fans.
