Jonathan is said to have met with key traditional and religious leaders during his visit in a bid to further his re-election bid.

The President also had meetings with stakeholders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Nigerian military recently announced that the last Boko Haram-controlled town in Adamawa had been recaptured.
