Appeal Court upholds governor’s election victory

Amosun’s victory was challenged by opponent and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Adegboyega Isiaka.

Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

The Court of Appeal has upheld the victory of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun in the April 2011 elections.

The Appeal Court reached the decision today, December 17, 2015, in Ibadan.

Amosun’s victory was challenged by opponent and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Adegboyega Isiaka.

A five-man panel of the court however dismissed Isiaka’s petition after ruling that his principal witness, Benjamin Ibikunle was not credible and hence his testimony couldn’t be trusted.
