Osun Assembly issues warrant for arrest of late minister’s son
The lawmakers are investigating a land matter at Ilobu and Muyiwa Ige was invited to appear before the lawmakers to clear some grey areas.

In a report by Punch, the warrant for arrest of Muyiwa, who is the immediate past Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in the state, was as a result of his alleged refusal to honour the lawmakers’ invitation.
Reason for invitation
The Osun Assembly, it was reported, is investigating a land matter at Ilobu and the former commissioner was invited to appear before the lawmakers to clear some grey areas.
Also invited by the lawmakers is the former permanent secretary in the ministry, who was was unable to make the invitation.
However, the lawmakers had issued a warrant of arrest on Muyiwa because the invitation was aired on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation on Tuesday, December 12, 2017.
The issuance of warrant of arrest
The report of the warrant of Muyiwa's arrest was aired on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 after the lawmakers got no word nor excuse from the former commissioner on the invitation.
