Je Kan Mo by T.R is sweet pop candy

Last night, T.R (formerly known as Terry Tha Rapman) releases the official second single from his forthcoming third solo album 'G.O.D'.

Titled 'Je Kan Mo' the track features Baseline Music act Skales. The single was produced by Drey Beatz who has worked with Ice Prince.

Different from his last official single 'G.O.D' featuring VeeDee, which is a hard hitting and dark rap song, 'Je Kan Mo' is an airy, breezy pop song most suitable for radio.

The single boats of a DJ Mustard type production with flirty synths and crisp claps. Skales channels his inner Chris Brown has he hits the high notes, taking an R&B shot at his haters. "See I started from the bottom, and all I want to do is raise the roof. You see these haters in the corner, dem no wan see me make a move" he sings.

T.R on the other hand gives a steady, well paced delivery expected from a seasoned rapper. Still lyricist at heart he delivers the sly punchlines when he spits "Tonto Dikeh, that's my nigga. Every time we dey choko, but we no dey poke o (poko)/but she can get it anytime no be joke o/sipping codeine in traffic I call it go slow."

T.R has been throwing surprises of late. 'Gamusu' which was released last month sees the rapper singing. Trying to shed the toga of a conservative rapper, he crafts a sweet pop tune without alienating his core fan base.

It won't be a surprise if 'Je Kan Mo' turns out to be a radio staple this year.
