This is what Jaime thinks about killing Cersei in season 8

Jaime thinks it makes sense for him to kill Cersei on "Game of Thrones," but there's a restriction.

There's a prophecy in "Game of Thrones" that has fueled the theory that Cersei Lannister would be killed by one of her siblings.

As a child, Cersei received a prophecy that she would marry the king, have three children, and that they would all die. All of these events have happened on the show, lending credibility to the rest of the prophecy: Cersei would become queen, but would be overthrown by a younger queen, and then she would be killed by the "valonqar."

In High Valyrian, valonqar means "little brother."

While Cersei has translated the prophecy to mean Tyrion, many fans think Jaimie, who killed the Mad King, would end his sister's life.

"It makes sense. He killed the Mad King and now he’s killing the Mad Queen,” Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister told Instyle

However, Cersei's newly revealed pregnancy is enough reason for Jaime to change his mind. “It’d be like the Red Wedding 2. That would be really horrible. I hope he wouldn’t," he said.

The Red Wedding is an infamous massacre on "Game of Thrones," which was arranged by Lord Walder Frey as revenge against Robb Stark for breaking the marriage pact between House Stark and House Frey.

The massacre also led to the heartbreaking death of Talisa Starkand her unborn baby.

Speaking about Cersei's pregnancy, the actor said he didn't doubt the pregnancy when he read the script, but he is no longer sure about it.

"That’s what I thought. I mean, I still think she is. But I don’t know how. I'm not sure anymore," he said.

"It might be that she was just playing all of us. When we did it, I definitely believed her. And that, I guess, is what’s important. Jaime believed her."

"Game of Thrones" returns for its eighth and final season in 2018 or 2019.
