The Infinity War title comes from a classic 1992 comic book series where the heroes of the Marvel Universe were brought together to fight their doppelgangers created by a cosmic entity called the Magus, who wanted control of the Infinity Gauntlet.
Disney/Marvel’s 2016 movie "Captain America: Civil War" also become the highest grosser of 2016 with a worldwide total of $981.9 million.
Recently, the film surpassed the $900 million mark to overtake "Spider-Man," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and "Spider-Man 3" to become the sixth highest grossing superhero movie of all time.
On Friday, July 29, 2016, Disney revealed the official title "Avengers: Infinity War," which will be released on May 4, 2018.
