Actress may star in Marvel's Black Panther movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar award winner, Lupita Nyong'o, is currently in talks to star in Marvel's Black Panther movie.

Lupita Nyong'o in talks for a Black Panther role

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there’s no word regarding her character in the upcoming movie.

There are however reports that she will be playing T’Challa’s love interest in the film. The actress is likely to be one of the Dora Milaje - the elite squad of female soldiers who guard the king of Wakanda.

One of those female bodyguards, played by  Florence Kasumba, briefly appeared in "Captain America: Civil War."

To be helmed by "Creed" director, Ryan Coogler, production on the movie is set to commence in 2017, with a February 16, 2018 release date.

Recently, the official trailer of Lupita's upcoming movie undefinedwas released. The upcoming movie stars her alongside Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo, and Madina Nalwanga who plays Phiona Mutesi.
