Hollywood actor, David Oyelowo, has today been nominated for "Best Actor in a TV, Movie/Mini series" at the 73rd Annual Golden Globes Awards nomination.

The actor received the nomination for his role as Peter Snowden in the 2015 film "Nightingale."

Oyelowo has been nominated alongside Idris Elba, Oscar Isaac, David Oyelowo, Mark Rylance and Patrick Wilson.


"Nightingale " is a 2014 American film directed by Elliott Lester and written by Frederick Mensch.

The film which premiered on HBO on May 29, 2015, starred the actor alongside Heather Storm and Barlow Jacobs.


An original film, "Nightingale"  was loosely based on the true-story murder of Kathy Sneider, and takes viewers inside the mind of a killer as he struggles with what he’s done.

In 2015, Oyelowo was nominated for  Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama, for his role in "Selma."
