Idris is the winner

Tanzanian housemate, Idris has beaten off strong competition to become the number one Hotshot and winner of Big Brother Africa 9.

Big Brother Africa contestant, Idris is $300 000 richer as he has been named the winner of this year's show.

The Tanzanian housemate beat off strong competition to become the number one Hotshot and winner of Big Brother Africa 9.

The much anticipated grand finale of the show started with the eviction of M'am Bea and Butterphly. Their exit was followed by the eviction of JJ and Sipe. Macky2 and Nhlanhla were the next housemates to get evicted.

The evicted housemates are given medallions by Biggie for making it to the last 8.

The final moment arrives and Tayo and Idris are brought into the building in a limousine and are on stage with IK, waiting to hear which one of them will be crowned the Hotshot.

Finally, IK announced Tanzanian housemate Idris as the winner.

From his relationship with Goitse and Ellah, one can really call Idris the Hotshot as he entertained Africa.
