Rainmaker, others rock the stage at the COSON Green Ball

It was a reggae-filled night at the COSON Green Ball on Wednesday at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

 

Vintage reggae ruled the night at the just concluded Green Ball of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) that held on Wednesday 4th of November.

Majek Fashek, along with reggae icons Ras Kimono and Victor Essiet of The Mandators, were among those who delivered amazing performances to the joy of the audience.

Majek Fashek was first on the stage with his signature red garment and bell before changing to a pair of jeans and shirt, QED reports.

He performed various tracks including the hit classic ‘Send down the Rain’.

He was later joined by Ras Kimono, who upped the tempo send the audience wild.

Victor Essiet's verses was reminiscent of the time when Reggae ruled the Nigerian airwaves in the 80s and 90s.

In attendance were dignitaries like 2015 Lagos governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa who was the chairman of the occasion, Bisi Olatilo and COSON chairman Tony Okoroji.

The Green Ball is part of the ongoing COSON Week which shall witness the COSON Awards on Friday, November 6 at the Eko Hotel & Suits, Victoria Island, Lagos.
