I don't endorse sex for money or dating a broke man - BBNaija's Doyin
Big Brother Naija star Doyinsola David has made her stance against the seemingly trending 'sugar daddy' phenomenon.
She made her declaration while speaking to popular media personality Chude Jideonwo in an interview.
Noting that transactional sex involving money is wrong in her books, she said, "We all have ways that we express our love, if I have a man and his way of expressing his love to me is by sending me money and buying me gifts it is not a bad thing. I'm not endorsing sex for money, I don't endorse sex for money because I wouldn't have sex with someone just for money alone, no!"
Going further, she stated that she feels men tend to be hypocrites because some chastise women for having sugar daddies, yet also chastise those who prefer men with financial stability. Doyin stressed that she is one of the women who refuse to be in relationships with financially unstable, 'broke' men, because she is financially stable herself.
She also went on to emphasise that adults are free to make their choices, saying, "I'm not supporting girls who have sugar daddies, I am supporting every adult that has the right to make a decision on how they want to live their lives."
The reality star spoke in defense of her statements made during an episode of her podcast Doyin's Corner, where she stated that money is important in keeping women happy in relationships. She received backlash for her statements at the time, as some translated it as an endorsement of sex for money.
All this took place before she rejoined the Big Brother Naija All Stars season which is still airing. She also recently emerged as the head of house in the show, making her the second female to achieve this feat in this season.
