Yep. You read that right. Nigerian men are actually dragging women for cheating.

[Credit - Aloud media]

Following Elozonam and Diane’s episode on The Big Brother Reunion show last night [catch that here], Nigerian women are currently under attack [of sorts], as men are reading them for filth on social media for their epic, unmatched philandering ways.

As it is, Nigerian men catch a bad rap for cheating, but it’d seem that Nigerian women are, in reality, not that far behind. Some will even say they are ahead, but that’s gist for another time.

Apart from the stories which abound on Twitter, we reached out to a few Nigerian men to tell us personal accounts of their experiences with Nigerian women and these responses below are enough to show that indeed, things dey occur.

She manipulated me away from a master’s program, then dumped me

I'd just gotten a very good job after NYSC and was waiting for my admission for my masters program. I was dating this gorgrous babe at the time. Like, my absolute spec.

As soon as the admission clicked, I told my babe that I wanted to resign and go back to school and she started crying that I wanted to leave her in Abuja bla bla bla... That was how I forfeited masters because of woman and stayed back. She then got a very good job. Like, the best job anyone can ask for in abuja. That's how aunty just woke up one day and ghosted me like I never existed. Few months later, I lost the job. No job, no school. Took me two years to recover from this thing.

Well I have the Master’s degree now but anytime I think about her... premium tears bruh. - Osi

So this my main babe that year called me and was crying. She was doing her masters in the east by the way. I was alarmed and asked what happened, but instead of responding, her cry only increased.

'My love, you can talk to me. What is the matter?'

My love said, I should forgive her. I should not leave her, that she does not want to lose me. Ahn ahn! Who am I not to be melted by such emotional outburst and declaration of long-term endearment.

I said 'my love, what happened?'

She said she mistakenly had sex with her ex earlier that day. I was not bothered as such sha, because one girl was also around to keep me company too.

I had to form anger for 2 seconds so she will increase the cry. I sha later said 'I forgive you, just go to bed let's talk about this tomorrow.'

The next day, I told her that it's fine, that I'd forgiven her and we continued from where we stopped.

I think I've had only one relationship ever where I did not cheat sha. - Ben.

This was just shortly before I went to Uni. I thought I had a thing going on with this babe. We were neighbours then.

Apparently she had two other folks she was seeing. One was "Soulmate" the other was "Soulmate." The dot was the difference. My name was saved as just my name and apparently, I was just the house boyfriend, you know shoulder to lean on after tough days.

I was the emotional backbone. Good thing though, it helped me become immune to all the "dear" and smiles when I got to Uni. All for what, so I can keep a seat for you? Lol. Once beaten, alaye, keep seat for yourself. - Segun.

Left me at a party – with a guy that has a car

There was a time I took one babe to a party. She met someone there. Apparently they had something together. Baba drive sha. Na baba carry babe go hin side oh. I no even bother call am again. - Ahmed.
