2 Student Struck Dead, 1 Injured By Lightning Bolt After Downpour

They were struck dead by lightning while walking in their school

Two secondary students have been struck dead by a lightning bolt in a private boarding school in Shendam, Plateau State.

Student Pulse gathered that a third student, who was critically injured, was immediately rushed to an unnamed hospital.

Reports quoting the Principal of the school, Mr. Raymond Gofut, said the tragic incident happened towards evening shortly after a heavy downpour.

The state Commissioner for Education, Mr. Nanle Dashe, confirmed the incident.

The deceased students' bodies have since been been deposited at a local mortuary.
