College of Education Students Block Benin-Ore Expressway

Protesting students have locked the Benin Ore expressway, demanding improved facilities and basic amenities in their institution

Angry students of the College of Education, Ogwaruo, Benin, have blocked the Benin-Ore Expressway to protest the poor state of facilities in their institution.

Students Pulse gathered that the students who number in hundreds are preventing cars from plying the highway, causing a massive gridlock on the very busy road.

According to several media reports, the  students' grouse is centered on the inadequacy of basic amenities and poor infrastructure.

They say living in their institution is akin to being in a poultry farm because of the poor roads and epileptic power supply.
