Learn Africa Education Development Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Learn Africa Plc., honours students, teachers and schools who distinguished themselves in the June/July 2015 NECO SSCE examinations. The award is in line with the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to the celebration and promotion of academic excellence.
There are two categories of the awards- National and State. In the state category, the first set of award presentations will hold this week from Tuesday, November 17 to Thursday, November 19, 2015 in the following Learn Africa offices nationwide:
- Ikeja- 52 Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja.
- Benin city- 25 James Watt Road, Benin City
- Ibadan- 49 New Adeoyo Hospital Road, Ring Road, Ibadan
- Abuja – MF-15 Cadastral Zone, Murtala Mohammed Expressway, Opposite 2 Kubwa gate, Kubwa, Abuja.
- Port Harcourt- 15, Okomoko Street, D Line, Port Harcourt
- Enugu – 14, Umuleri Street, Uwani, Enugu
- Kano – 10 Maiduguri Road, Opposite Ruqayya House, Kano.
45 students will be awarded in these zones for their outstanding performances and the teacher from the school which produced the first prize winner in each state will receive special recognition during the event in appreciation of their great contributions to the students’ successes at the NECO June/July SSCE in 2015.
In addition, the Foundation will donate books to the libraries of the schools that produced the three best performing candidates in each state.
The national award will hold on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the Protea Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
