The state Secretary of the board, Alhaji Balarabe Abdulmumini, gave the warning on Wednesday when he inspected the renovation of Muhammadu Mera Primary School in Argungu.
He decried the use of substandard chippings for the concrete work at the project site and warned that the board would not accept substandard projects.
He urged the contractors to ensure the execution of quality projects that would stand the test of time.
Abdulmumini said that the board had concluded arrangement to recruit 500 additional teachers to teach in primary schools in rural areas.
“We will procure teaching and learning materials for the schools," he said.
The SUBEB secretary said that the delay in the payment of teachers’ salaries was not deliberate, adding that it was due to the ongoing verification of teachers in the state.
He urged teachers to be patient, saying, “we hold the welfare of our teachers in high-esteem; we will wipe out their tears soon.”
