Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State, has announced the appointment of Prof. Abubakar Musa Kundiri as the new Vice Chancellor.

A new Vice Chancellor has finally emerged after a much contested exercise.

He is to succeed the incumbent vice chancellor whose tenure will expire in February, 2016.
According to Vanguard, Professor Adedoja said Kundiri scored 91.1 per cent to come first, ahead of Professor Salisu Abdullahi Kazaure who scored 81.4 per cent and Prof. Zakari Muahmmed of ABU Zaria, who scored 70 per cent to emerge third in the contest.

Adedoja explained that 24 professors applied for the VC’s job, adding that 11 were short listed by the council, while three were recommended by selection board after a rigorous interview.
