Three students from the first year of the Etisalat Telecommunications Engineering Program (ETEP) at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, are on their way to Dubai for intensive training.

Etisalat Nigeria is sponsoring three students to study at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai after the emerged tops in its Telecommunications Engineering Program (ETEP).

gathered that the trio were selected after emerging tops in the first year of the program.
The Manager for Corporate Social Responsibility at Etisalat, Oyetola Oduyemi, said the selected students will be trained at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai.
Oduyemi said the training will give the students practical knowledge of telecommunications engineering which will give them a competitive edge.

He revealed that Etisalat plans to train at least 15 students annually, as well sponsoring lecturers from ABU for PhD studies in Telecommunications Engineering at the Plymouth University, UK she added.
