How to resist temptation on a daily basis

As a Christian, you step out of your house every day knowing that sin is lurking around and you have to do your best to avoid.

Thankfully, we have don't have to do this on our own. We can turn to the Bible to help us anytime.

These following seven verses are guaranteed to help you resist temptations and live a righteous life.

Philippians 4:13 says,

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that we are saved, sin no longer has a hold on us,

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

Psalm 34:4 tells us to seek God,

Proverbs 3:5 adds,

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;"

Matthew 11:28 tells us to go to God with our temptations,

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Luke 18:27 reminds,

"Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

2 Timothy 1:7 offers the last word of advice,

"For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
