Meriam Yahya Ibrahim, the 27-year-old Sudanese woman who was spared a death sentence for adultery and apostasy, barred from leaving Sudan, has arrived at an airport in Rome, Italy on Thursday.

She arrived on an Italian government plane

Ibrahim who left Sudan after a lawsuit by her family was dropped, was showed on an Italian television leaving the aircraft at Rome's Ciampino airport.
She was accompanied by her family and and Italy's vice minister for foreign affairs, Lapo Pistelli.
