The Christian Association of Nigeria have announced Sunday, December 7 as the national day for all Christians and churches to pray against insurgent group, Boko Haram.

The association has fixed Sunday, December 7 as the national day for all Christians pray for all those who have been affected by the terrors unleashed by Boko Haram.
The association gave this mandate through a statement signed by the General Secretary of the association, Dr Musa Asaka, asking Christians to embark on special prayers for all who have been affected by the activities of Boko Haram.
"We are expected to offer special prayers, not just for our slain Christian brethren but for all those who lost their lives in the attacks, that the Almighty God will grant them eternal rest and through these prayers intervene in the challenges that the insurgency has brought to the countless number of families that have been directly or indirectly affected by the crisis. Pray that God will give us all the wisdom and strength to execute this task with minimal difficulty to the glory of God the Father.”
The statement also extended warm greetings to Nigerians “especially as we come towards the end of another year as a nation.”
