Ebola Outbreak Will Last For 12 More Months, Scientists Say

Scientists from the United States of America have said that the Ebola epidemic will last for another 12 to 18 months

Some US scientists have painted a grim picture of the current Ebola outbreak in West Africa as they have reportedly said that it will last for another 12 to 18 months.

Daily Mail reports that Epidemiologists have been creating computer models of the Ebola epidemic for the National Institutes of Health and the Defense Department.

The new figures were derived from this model and it is a far cry from the predictions of the World Health Organization (WHO), which has said a total of 20,000 cases are expected and that it is possible to contain the outbreak within nine months.

This year’s Ebola outbreak, which the WHO described as the worst ever, has infected over 4000 people and killed over 2000 of that number in West Africa.
