Senate to screen nominees today, October 13

Buhari sent an initial list of 21 persons to the upper legislative Chamber on September 30, 2015.

The Senate is set to screen President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial nominees today, October 13, 2015.

Notable persons on that list include former governors Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi and Kayode Fayemi.

The president sent a second list of names to the Senate on Monday, October 13.

The additional nominees will be officially revealed during the Senate’s plenary session today.

Buhari had earlier promised to unveil his ministers in September, four months after his inauguration.

The screening exercise is expected to begin at 11am.
