Following the news of the ban on locally made gins, aka ogogoro, Nigerians have taken to social media to express their thoughts on the move.

Expectedly, many Nigerians reacted to the news with a good dose of humour while others questioned how the ban would be implemented successfully.

The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC) boss, Dr Paul Orhii had yesterday announced the ban to newsmen citing the recent multiple deaths in Rivers and Ondo, which were connected to the local brew, as reason behind the move
