NAF, Royal Jordanian Air Force collaborate in combating insurgency

The Commander of RJAF, Maj.-Gen. Yousef Al -Hnaity, gave this indication during his visit to the NAF Logistics Command at Sam Ethnan Base, Ikeja Lagos.
“We can work together to better develop our Air Forces’ capabilities based on our mutual experience.
“We can set up a committee from both sides to develop and improve on all elements related to training, equipment, skills and management of the whole system,” he said.
He stressed the need for the Air Forces of both countries to cooporate in the areas of logistics, maintenance and operations.
“What we see here is that the challenge facing Nigeria like terrorism is similar to what we have in Jordan.
“So, there are many common goals to work upon together, aimed at improving our capabilities, capacities and the tools we have in hand so as to bring the countries to stability and finish off the terrorists,” he said.
Earlier, Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Logistic Command, Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Yahaya, thanked the Jordanian commander for his visit and assured him of the command’s support in working with Jordan.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Jordanian official was in Nigeria to reciprocate the visit of the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar to Jordan in August this year.
