The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lynden Integrated Farms Limited to kick-off a commercial poultry farming project in the state, which will gulp $61million.

It has been estimated that the farm would generate 250 jobs during construction, 200 permanent jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs subsequently.

Obiano, after signing the MoU, stressed that agriculture is a priority in his economic agenda, noting that the proposed ultra-modern poultry farm would generate 250 jobs during construction, 200 permanent jobs and 2,000 indirect jobs subsequently.
The investing company will reportedly have equity ratio of 90 per cent, six per cent for the state government and four per cent for the host community.
The farm, which is expected to be operational in 15 months, will be located on seven hectares of land at Igbariam area of the state.
