President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed that Nigeria now has the capacity to get rid of Boko Haram.

Buhari said this on Friday, July 31, at the Villa in Abuja, while receiving the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas.
The president's belief is in rooted in thecoalition of military forces (Multi National Joint Task Force) from Nigeria's neighbouring countries - under the auspices of the Lake Chad Basin Commission.
In a statement issued by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Buhari said the morale of troops in the front-line states has improved significantly.
“You can tell the Secretary-General that we are doing our best and our best will be good enough for the nation and the sub-region,’’ according to the statement, Buhari referred to Dr. Ibn Chambas.
