“Mr. Nura Mohammed came to me that he is a north central state correspondent of BBC Hausa and want to have an interview with me to clear some issues leveled against this centre which bordering on allegations of corruption, misappropriation of funds, employment scam among others.”

“After my investigation with the assistance of the centre Public Relation office unit, it was discovered that Mr. Nura Mohammed is not a reporter with the BBC Hausa at all and that they don’t even have any BBC reporter or correspondent in Nasarawa state,” Giyan said.
He urged the police to prosecute the allege impersonator according to the rule of the law and also advised the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) to deal with the allege impersonator to serve as deterrent to others.
Giyan who denied allegations of misappropriation of fund, employment scam and shortage of qualified doctors, added that such allegation are coming from those that do not wish the centre and the country well.
Reacting, the allege impersonator, Mr. Nura Mohammed, said he works with the Nasarawa State Broadcasting Corporation(NBS) and also a correspondent with the BBC Hausa.
“I am the North Central Nigeria Correspondent of BBC Hausa and a state NBS staff, I went to get some clarifications from the FMC, Keffi Medical Director which borders on allegations of misappropriation of the centre fund and employment scam among others,” he said.
