First Lady finally lands in London to meet President Buhari

The First Lady's London arrival was announced by her personal assistant on Twitter.

The First Lady left the country on Saturday, July 1, stopping over in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) meeting on Monday 3rd July, 2017.

The meeting was a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the organization where she read the communique.

The First Lady's London arrival was announced by her personal assistant Zaynab Ikaz-Kassim on her Twitter page (@zaykassim).

She tweeted, "H.E Mrs. aishambuhari arrived London this morning after a 7 hour flight from Ethiopia, where she recently attended the 15th OAFLA G.A".

When Aisha returned from a London trip on June 6 after leaving the country to visit her husband on May 30, she had said, "My husband is recovering very fast. And very soon, he will return to the country to resume his official duties."

"I thank Nigerians for their prayers for my husband. Please, do not relent in your prayers. The President will be back very soon."

President Buhari left the country on May 7 on a medical leave, handing over the reins of government to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
