The Venus Bushfires, a Nigerian singer-songwriter, composer and performance artist who plays the unique instrument called 'The Hang', explains to Pulse what type of music she does.
Singer reveals her type of music
The Nigerian act breaks down her style of music, which is surprisingly pop oriented, and the meaning of her name.

"Well its hard to describe it. I am singing about Africa, the experiences, the folk stories, Afro-Pop in many ways" said The Venus Bushfires. "I came up with that idea of describing my music when I was in London" she further said.
Obvious that her form of Afro-Pop is different from the type prevalent in Nigeria, she later went on to say her style of music can be tagged as "Afro folk pop".
