Ed Skrein takes over from Jason Statham in 4th installment

Ed Skrein, who appeared in HBO's Game of Thrones,' is the new Frank Martin  in 'The Transporter: Refueled' which premieres in cinemas this weekend on September 4, 2015.

The actor takes over from in the series, which began in 2002 about a driver who is hired to transport packages.

"It always felt like a pair of shoes that would be comfortable and I could fit into. It didn't seem too much of a stretch," Skrein said in an interview.

The actor who will star alongside had this to say about comparisons to Statham;

"I really never think about what people think of me or how they would compare me to other people," he said. "Let's let the people decide."

Directed by Camille Delamarre and written by Bill Collage and Adam Cooper, The Transporter Refueled also stars Ray Stevenson, Gabriella Wright, Radivoje Bukvić, Anatole Taubman and Tatiana Pajković.

Plot

"A femme fatale and her cohorts kidnap Frank Martin's (Ed Skrein) father to coerce Frank into helping them break up a ring of human traffickers from the Russian Federation."
