Ibrahim Chatta 'Awards in Nigeria are not credible,' begs fans not to vote for him

Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has appealed to his fans not to vote for him in the 'best actor' category of the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.

Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, who has been nominated for the City People Entertainment Awards in the best actor category, has appealed to his fans not to vote for him.

According to the actor who took to Instagram to make the appeal, he is not interested and considers most of the film awards in Nigeria not credible enough.

During the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Ghanaian star Yvonne Nelson,  took to her Twitter account to describe awards system in Africa as 'who they cool with awards.'

In 2015, the actress stated that awards are meaningless, after “Beasts of No Nation” won 12 awards out of 15 nominations at the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards .
