'Invasion 1897' Set for World Premiere Tour

Iceslide Films in conjunction with Wells Entertainment Limited presents the release of the epic historical film, 'Invasion 1897', based on the invasion of the great Benin Kingdom by the British in 1897.

The movie which has taken over four years to shoot and edit was shot with over $1m in Benin city, Edo state and London, England

Featuring great talents like Segun Arinze, Charles Inojie, Rudolph Walker, Charles Nosa Ehimwen, Paul Obazele, Leo Mezie, Mike Omoriegbe, Idiata Otiagbe , Annika Álofti, Garett Mort, Hannah Raehse-Felstead, Tim Robinson, Rob Spackman, Patrick Thompson, Keith Davinson and the late Justus Esiri in a cameo role..

Spearheading the World premiere tour of the movie is the unveiling of the film’s new poster & trailer by City People magazine.

‘Invasion’ will be the opening film of the Toronto African & Music Festival on the 27th of August 2014. There will be a London VIP premiere alongside major Benin bronze works exhibition on the 13of September 2014. A main premiere will be held in London at the Odeon Cinema also that month.

This will be followed by a special premiere of the movie at the famous Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C on September 17 2014.

In Nigeria, the film will screen at the Abuja Film Festival, then there will be there will be special Nollywood premiere on the 23, 25 and 26 of September 2014.
