Stacey Dash Actress calls Jesse Williams 'plantation slave' following his BET speech

Stacey Dash's call for the abolition of the BET Awards, has earned her serious backlash but the actress has never for once backed down.

This time, she's directing that 'segregation' anger at Jesse Williams for his BET speech about racism.

The actress in a post shared to her blog on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 called Williams a “plantation slave”.

“You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave!” the 49-year-old wrote, calling the Grey’s Anatomy star’s acceptance speech “racist.”

Sorry, Mr. Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.

On Sunday, June 26, Williams was honoured with a humanitarian award after which he delivered an impressive speech calling for an end to police killings, inequality and cultural appropriation.

 

According to Dash, Williams’ speech was just another way to keep America from coming together as a truly united nation.

"That chip on the shoulders of people like you will weigh you down and keep you from flying free. But true freedom is never free. You have to know how to fly. If anyone is making you feel this way its you. Living in a psychological prison of your own making. If anyone is GHETTO-IZING anyone, it’s people like you letting the BETs and other media outlets portray us in stereotypes.

This is not the first time the actress is outspoken about her disdain for the TV network.

 

In fact, she clarified that she has no issue against black people having their own space, rather she has a problem with the folks at BET absolutely freaking out when other institutions don't match up to what they think is best.
